Pete's Walks - Egyptian Goose

River Thames at Hambleden Mill, Bucks., 6/8/11

Egyptian Geese are often seen in wildfowl collections, but over the years a few have escaped and their is now a feral population living wild in the UK. The highest numbers are along the Norfolk coast, and there are also a number of them in the Norfolk Broads. A couple of weeks before spotting these two on the Thames at Hambleden Mill, I'd seen some a few miles away on the river in Henley - they were squabbling with ducks as a family were feeding them bread!
