Pete's Walks - Large Heath

This butterfly only inhabits wet boggy sites. In the UK it can be found in Scotland, N.Ireland and a few scattered sites in Wales and northern and central England. It flies from the start of July to the middle of August (I took these photos in June 2024 and June 2025, but most butterflies started their flight periods a little early those years).
