This can be found in grassy places from March to October, though I must admit I don't see them too often.

Photo taken 22/8/25 at Aston Rowant, Oxon. The blue markings on the hindwings show that this is 'ab. caeruleopunctata', the most frequent Small Copper 'aberration'.
