Pete's Walks - Disclaimer and notes

I provide route descriptions for some walks on the understanding that I am not responsible for the safety or well-being of any one who chooses to follow these routes.

To the best of my knowledge the routes are entirely on public rights of way or within areas that are open for public access.

I have checked the route descriptions, and they are accurate to the best of my knowledge. If you do find a mistake in them, or think they could be improved, please let me know by emailing me at pete@petes-walks.co.uk

The route descriptions are intended to be used in conjunction with the relevant OS Explorer maps. The Chiltern Chain Walk is not marked on maps, nor by waymarks or signs on the ground. So if you go off the path, it may be difficult to find your way back to it. A map is therefore essential. Before setting off to do one of these walks, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you go through the route description and follow it on the appropriate map, preferably marking the route on the map with a highlighter pen or similar. You may not be able to follow the entire route on the map (e.g. through Chesham or in areas of Open Access where the path is not shown on the map), but I specify Grid References every so often so that you can always pick up the route again at these points.

Enjoy your walking!
