I did this roughly 5 mile circular walk on Sunday, 11th November 2012.

I started walking about 2pm - I hadn't planned on walking today, but it was such a beautiful sunny day I couldn't resist going out for a short local walk. I walked down Common Road and turned left down Hollicks Lane. After about a quarter of a mile I joined the path parallel to the lane, behind the hedgerow on the left. This dropped down the steep valley that runs north of Kensworth Common and up the equally steep opposite slope, rejoining the lane at the top. I followed the lane to where it turned sharply right in front of Kensworth church, where I continued ahead through the churchyard. A path led on through a meadow - as it was very muddy, I decided to skip the first part of the Quarry path (which is muddy at the best of times) and carried on to reach Beech Road, where I turned left.

The road turned right and went downhill and then back uphill again. At the top of the slope, where the road bent left, a short path led left to join the path round Kensworth Quarry, where I turned right. I soon had views over Dunstable and across to Blows Downs on my right. I now simply continued along the quarry path, keeping close to the boundary fence on my left.
