The path turned half-right near the top of the slope, then left the wood and followed a grassy track between fields to reach Lawrence Grove Wood. Beyond this second wood it followed the left edge of a large empty pasture (there was a warning sign saying 'Bull in field' but I didn't see any animals at all), staying close to the tall hedge on the left as it went up and down a small valley. The path then ran between fences for a short distance to reach the A4128 road south of Prestwood.

I went a few yards right then crossed the road and went down the track or drive opposite. After a hundred yards or so a narrow path continued between an overhanging hedgerow on my left and a wooden fence on my right. When the path entered Peterley Wood I turned right onto a bridleway, that started close to the edge of the wood on my right. I remembered this bridleway being very muddy once before, and it was so again today.

After about half a mile through the wood I reached a minor road, across which a footpath continued through another wood. I soon came to a path T-junction where I turned left, and within a few yards I left the wood and turned right along the edge of the wood, with an area of Christmas trees on my left. Where the wood on my right ended, the path turned left, with more Christmas trees and then an area of market gardening to my left. The path ended when it reached a bridleway named Peterley Avenue, where I went right.

After two or three hundred yards I took a footpath going half-left - this used to cross a very large field diagonally, but now there was a long wooden fence on my left with several paddocks for Alpacas on the other side. At the far side of the field the path continued between a hedge and a fence for a short distance to reach a road in Little Kingshill. Here I turned left and followed the road until I reached a small playing field on my left - before taking the footpath going left here, I went on a few yards to sit on a bench just after a bus shelter to eat my packed lunch.
