At the end of the track, at a bend in a lane, I went a few yards left and took a path on the left - this ran through a couple of large sheep pastures, then followed a hedge on my left to reach a stile and a road on the edge of Cray's Pond. I turned right, and followed the road out of the village. After a few hundred yards I turned left onto a footpath, which ran along a broad grassy track between new hedgerows, with large corn fields on either side. The path brought me to the hamlet of Little Heath, where I turned right along a track

The track headed northwest, running for a while between hedgerows, then passing through a wood before dropping downhill to reach a minor road.

I walked about a hundred yards left along the road, then took a bridleway on the other side. This followed a good track rising gradually up the side of a valley. Towards the top of the slope it levelled out where the track turned right - the bridleway continued between a fence on my left and a hedge on my right. There was then a very pleasant stretch of several hundred yards through Wroxhills Wood.
