Pete's Walks - Foxglove

A very common and distinctive plant which I have seen less often than I would have expected. It is one of the few plants whose name I have known since childhood. I even remember that it's Latin name is digitalis  - the drug of the same name, which is used for treating heart conditions, is derived from the plant. The whole plant is poisonous. It flowers between June and August.
