Pete's Walks - Poppy

One of the commonest and most easily recognisable flowers in the British Isles, forever associated with Remembrance Sunday when those who have fallen in war are remembered (it was the only flower that grew on the muddy battlefields of the Western Front in World War One). It flowers from June to August.
